Alexia Elichiry - Founding Member, Director of Sales
Born in Los Angeles, reared in Little Rock, and with several stints in France in between, Alexia Elichiry proud to bring her extensive wine knowledge and years of service industry experience back to her home state of Arkansas. Wine has always been in Alexia's blood. Her great-grandfather was a was a wine négociant in France. Call it genetics, but she has always been blessed with the gift of a good nose and palate. Alexia is no stranger to Little Rock's fine dining scene, and her resumé includes Ciao Baci, where she was general manager, and Trio's, where she worked as a server and bar manager. Her restaurant background coupled with her French heritage and time spent in Aix-en-Provence gave Alexia a passion for wine, and that passion eventually became De Nux. Her favorite moments are around the dinner table with family and friends, and she absolutely treasures working alongside her family at De Nux. Outside of work, Alexia also hosts the local radio program "Vive la Vie," where she and Little Rock food blogger Kevin Shalin interview local restaurateurs and industry folk.
Kurt DeLashmet - District Sales Manager - Northwest Arkansas
Kurt first moved to Arkansas from his home state of Mississippi in 2009 to seek wisdom and higher learning at Hendrix College. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2013, he moved to Little Rock where he found his first job in the industry at Grapevine Wines and Spirits, a small, but well curated store where his interest in wine, beer, and spirits was cultivated. After a year serving as assistant manager and beer buyer at Grapevine, Kurt moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he worked for Ridge Vineyards at Monte Bello, one of the highest regarded wineries in the world, as a hospitality and sales specialist. After a year and a half of honing his skills in wine tasting and learning firsthand about viticulture and the winemaking process, Kurt returned to Arkansas in 2015 to manage the budding Northwest Arkansas market for De Nux Distributors. In addition to pounding the pavement and slinging booze, Kurt also manages advertising, graphic design, and the online presence of De Nux, as well as the De Nux blog.
Brett Bassett - Central Arkansas On-Premise Sales
As a Little Rock native, Brett Bassett was raised in the restaurant industry under the wing of his step-father, Chef Mark Abernathy. His beverage industry career began in 2009 as a bartender and has since seen multiple bar management roles, most recently as the Beverage Director of Yellow Rocket Concepts, the largest privately owned restaurant group in the state of Arkansas. Brett was also the acting President of the Central Arkansas Chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild prior to joining the De Nux team. As a lover of a good story, Brett's passion for wine and spirits grows with each introduction to something new and it's accompanying history. He supports conservational efforts in all forms and loves to cheer for the underdog. He holds certifications from The Master Court of Sommeliers, The Cicerone Certification Program, and Pernod Ricard USA, and Beverage Alcohol Resource. In 2016 he was offered and accepted invitations to Oregon Pinot Camp and Camp Runamok. Most recently, he served as a United States Ambassador for the official launch of the Bat Friendly Agave Program in Guadalajara, Mexico and sat on a panel for the Mezcal Cultural Fair in Colima, Mexico. In his spare time, Brett loves to explore the great outdoors with his chocolate lab, Boo, spend time with his parents, and earn as many smile lines as possible.
